Castelbar, Ireland, Four Days' Walk
Hello,
There are three of us who are planning to do the Four Days' Walk in Castlebar, Ireland, June 28 to July 1. The only info we can find on the Internet is the Castlebar Four Days' Walk website, the International Marching League website, and just a couple of personal accounts. We have a couple questions. Have any of you participated in the Castlebar walk? If you have, can you please share some of the details and advice you might have regarding the walk? We plan to walk the Ramble. Also, we were thinking of trying to find an apartment or house to rent in Castlebar for a few days or a week. We're vegans, so then we could cook our own meals -- there are probably few veg options in the restaurants. Any advice? After the walk we will probably rent a car and drive to a few locations, including The Giant's Causeway. We also want to spend a couple days in Dublin. Thanks in advance for any info you can send our way! Barbara |
