Since Club Med sits on the edge of Punta Nizuc National Park, are residents
of Club Med required to wear a vest when snorkeling off the reef there?

Roy,

I personally have snorkeled there many times. When I was there last, about a
year ago Club Med gave me a vest, which they insisted I must wear but which
one does not have to inflate (by blowing in a tube) if you want to swim
below the surface. They also supply masks and fins, which is great -- which
means two less bulky items that need to be packed.
