Syracuse, NY to Chicago to LA

Is there a way to fly from Syracuse,NY to Chicago, stay in Chicago for
a few days, then fly to LA? Or does this require two tickets?

USAir offers only two cities to enter and there were no flights listed
from Syracuse that had Chicago listed as a stop on route to LA.

If you're booking online, use the "multi-city" option, and you'll
generally pay half the round-trip fare for each leg of your journey if
you're returning to the same place you're starting.

If you plan on getting off the plane in Chicago anyways, it doesn't matter
where the plane's going next. Try Orbitz or the UAL web site and you
should be able to get the flight you want.
