Default Brits tell Emirates Turn off those plane cameras!

Personally I think personal protests should take the form of:

1) Villagers stand in their back gardens and moon at the
aircraft for being so damn nosy.

2) Pilots moon out of their aircraft at the villagers for
being so damn parochial. (Defn: Parochial - Adjective narrowly
restricted in outlook or scope; "insular attitudes toward
foreigners")

I wouldn't solve anything but it would make for a *much*
more interesting news story.

Having flown four segments in the Emirates A340-500 in the past two weeks
(including one into LGW), I can tell you that it is impossible to be able to
positively identify anything more than fields, buildings, roads and
vehicles.

Even on the enormous 17" screens in FC, when you're coming in to land, when
you're much closer to the ground, not only are you moving very fast, but
also the resolution on the cameras in insufficient to identify anything that
could be considered any more intrusive than your average satellite
photograph.

Strom in a teacup springs to mind!

Kind Regards, Howard

Thank you for that,; it was needed for this thread which has gone
utterly stupid. I too have flown into local airfields as well as
airports, many times over my own house at 1000feet. and still could
not recognise it, even at a mere 170mph!!! Some people!!! Gawds
