Temporary gear storage in NZ

Im looking to travel with a mate in NZ but also do a lot of caving.
Caving gear is heavy enough for me not to want to drag it round with
me the whole time, and so need to store it while we go Hiking etc
(temporarially).

Are there facilities in NZ to do this, or do we just have to trust a
hotels back-room / garage?!
or worst, drag it with us

Yup i am sure most hotels have lock ups thay do in Australia im guessing its
the same in NZ

Find a storgae rental unit, will cost you about $75 per week but very safe
and secure. $75 is cheap compared to the hasstles of lunking it around or
losing it all.

There are. I used one of them a couple of years ago in Auckland. Go to
