Glasgow at Christmas

Contemplating a trip to Glasgow Christmas week and would like to know if the
historical sites, libraries, museums, galleries, etc. are open during the
holiday period?

Also, what about restaurants? Should we plan on self-catering on Christmas
day?

Kelvingrove is closed at the moment. Come to Edinburgh instead. Restaurants
are open but will be heavily booked for Christmas lunches and dinners.

Most 'European' restaurants will be shut, or open only for reserved
christmas parties. Chinese and Indian sit-ins are less likely to be closed,
but may be reservation only. However you shouldn't have too far to go to
find a Chinese or Indian take-away that is open, especially in the evening.
