Default seeking Portuguese grilled sardines in Washington DC

We will be visiting Washington DC in November. We wish to try the Portuguese
grilled sardines. Can you recommend a good restaurent in downtown Washington
DC areas? Thank you.

I haven't tried either of the Nando's Peri-Peris but both are very new
and are not yet rated (tho' listed as inexpensive) by Zagat. For the
record, one is at 819 Seventh NW (202-898-1225) in Chinatown and the
other at 1210 18th NW (202-621-8603) at Dupont Circ. Grilled sardines
are not mentioned by Zagat.

Just looked at Nand's Peri-Peri menu. Has Portuguese Roll. No grilled
sardines.
