Tamarisk Accommodation Services is a family-run concern which provides
accommodation with a host family in a large house situated in St
Julian's, which is one of Malta's foremost residential and
touristic areas, and where many of the English Language Schools are
located.

This service caters for:


- foreign Students who come to Malta to study English; and
- tourists visiting Malta who prefer accommodation with a family rather
than in a hotel.

Foreign students coming to Malta to study English can also benefit from
another service provided by us, that is, the booking of English
Language Courses with local English Language Schools. This service is
provided free of charge to those booking accommodation with us.

Tamarisk Accommodation Services have been providing accommodation,
mainly to foreign students coming to Malta to learn English, for the
last seventeen years. This service is provided all the year round. The
number of years in this business is a guarantee for excellent service.

Accommodation:

Accommodation for foreign students and tourists is provided by the host
family in a large family house situated in St Julians, Malta. Up to
four bedrooms are available for guests. The house is situated in a
quiet area, yet very close to all amenities and to bus routes, with the
bus stops being just two hundred metres from the house.

The St Julians area is Malta's foremost touristic, entertainment, and
residential area, where many of the English Language Schools operating
in Malta are situated.

Accommodation options

The following accommodation options are available:

Single Room:

- Bed and breakfast
- Half-board - bed, breakfast, full dinner with family
- Full-board - bed, breakfast, packed lunch, and full dinner with
family.


Sharing Room (two persons per room):

- Bed and breakfast
- Half-board - bed, breakfast, full dinner with family
- Full-board - bed, breakfast, packed lunch, and full dinner with
family.


Additional options - subject to extra charges:

- Own bathroom
- No other student of same nationality residing simultaneously with
family



Accommodation Rates:

Our rates vary according to the season, as follows:

- Peak seasons:
Summer - July, August, September
Easter period (varies each year)
Christmas period

Rest of the year


Our rates are very moderate, and certainly lower than those charged
normally by Language Schools and their foreign Agencies.

Tamarisk Accommodation Services also provide free transport from and to
the airport (a value of Lm16 - approximately EUR36; USD46);

We do not even ask for a deposit upon booking confirmation. Therefore,
guests do not risk losing money should they be compelled to cancel or
postpone their trip in case of unforeseen circumstances.

Payment would be made by the guest upon arrival.

All the guest/s would have to do in advance, therefore, is just book
the flight to Malta, and provide flight details so that we could meet
them at the airport. This makes the organisation of the trip much less
of a hassle, apart from limiting the pre-payments to just the flight.

An additional, and also free, service provided by us is that of booking
English Language Courses on behalf of guests. Again here, no deposit is
requested, and there is therefore no risk of losing any course or
deposit fees, or of incurring cancellation charges. Students would pay
the School directly on their first day at school.

English Language Courses

The English Language Student booking accommodation with us may also
avail himself/herself of our free English Language Course-booking
service.

English Language Schools normally provide a variety of courses to cater
for various needs. Courses may be of just one week's duration, to
three, and even, six months or more, according to the need of the
student. Courses are also tailored to match the level of knowledge of
the student. Courses may be group courses, or even one-to-one
(individual tuition). We can even arrange, if required, individual
tuition at the host family's house. We can therefore provide the
prospective student with a typical course schedule and price list, so
that he/she can decide which course is the most appropriate for
him/her.

A schedule of courses can be supplied upon request.

All the prospective student has to do is to select the course and dates
required, and let us know accordingly. We will then take care to
reserve his room in our house and to book his course with the English
Language School. No pre-payments or deposits whatsoever are required.
Payment for the course will be made directly to the School by the
Student himself/herself on the first day at school.

Payment for accommodation will be made directly to Tamarisk
Accommodation Services upon arrival. Of course, the student would also
have to book his flight to and from Malta himself.
