Royal Caribbean International Takes Delivery of Jewel of the Seas

Fourth Radiance-class Ship Offers Wealth of Activities, Amenities

MIAMI, April 22
Royal Caribbean International took delivery today of Jewel of the
Seas, in a ceremony in Eemshaven, Netherlands. The 2,112-passenger
ship, built at Meyer Werft Yard in Papenburg, Germany, will sail a
series of short, preview events before arriving in Harwich, England,
to commence her inaugural cruising season in Northern Europe.

"Jewel of the Seas is the final jewel in our Radiance class of ships,"
said Jack Williams, president and chief operating officer of Royal
Caribbean International. "She sparkles with nearly three acres of
exterior glass and offers a wealth of activities, entertainment and
itineraries. Jewel of the Seas will take guests on unforgettable
adventures to many of the world's most scenic and exciting cruise
destinations."

Jewel of the Seas will sail Scandinavia/Russia and British
Isles/Norwegian Fjords itineraries until September, when she
repositions to Boston to cruise Canada and New England. In November,
she moves to Ft. Lauderdale to take guests throughout the Eastern and
Western Caribbean.

The activities and amenities onboard Jewel of the Seas are just as
diverse as her itineraries. The elegant ship includes a spectacular,
two-story main dining room; an exotic Thailand-themed, adults-only
Solarium with a retractable glass roof; two intimate specialty
restaurants; and the full- service ShipShape Day Spa, equipped with a
thermal suite, which includes heated tile loungers facing the ocean,
an aromatherapy steam room, a sauna and tropical rain showers.

Jewel of the Seas also has a playful side, including active options
such as Royal Caribbean's signature rock-climbing wall, a jogging
track, a basketball and volleyball court, ping pong tables, a
nine-hole miniature golf course, the ShipShape Fitness Center and two
self-leveling, gyroscopic pool tables.

The Adventure Ocean Youth Program offers guests ages 3 to 17
activities ranging from scavenger hunts and sports tournaments to art
and science workshops. Teens have their own exclusive hangout, Fuel
nightclub, complete with a soda bar, dance floor and DJ music.

The whole family will enjoy heading to the Coral Theater at night for
one of Jewel's three incredible stage productions, including "Tango
Buenos Aires," a spectacular performance that takes the audience
through the history of the dance. In addition, a variety of comedians,
singers, piano players and musicians appear throughout Jewel's
numerous bars and lounges.

From May through September 2004, Jewel of the Seas will sail
Scandinavia/Russia itineraries, visiting Oslo, Norway; Copenhagen,
Denmark; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia;
and Tallinn, Estonia. On June 21 and July 27, she will offer two
special British Isles/Norwegian Fjords journeys, calling in Paris (Le
Havre), France; Plymouth, England; Cork (Cobh), Ireland; Dublin,
Ireland; Glasgow (Greenock), Scotland; Bergen, Norway; Flam, Norway;
Geiranger, Norway; Hellesylt, Norway; and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

In September, Jewel of the Seas will cross the Atlantic for a series
of New England/Canada cruises from Boston. A month later, she will
arrive in her winter homeport of Ft. Lauderdale, where she will sail
alternating eight-night Eastern Caribbean and six-night Western
Caribbean itineraries.

Royal Caribbean International is a global cruise brand with 19 ships
now in service, including Jewel of the Seas, and one more under
construction. The company also offers unique cruisetour vacations in
Alaska, Canada and Europe. For additional information about the cruise
line, please contact your travel professional.
