Default 50 years old--too old for world travel?

Yes! just do it...

Yesterday, I turned 59 years old, I
still work and travel, except due to
my arhritis, I now use a Lunar rollator
from http://www.noblemotion.com. With
this rollator, I can carry a briefcase,
computer bag or medium sized duffel on
the front and I'm still highly mobile.

PS: If you're in Europe, checkout
http://www.ahlberg-rehab.se/index_english.htm
rollator site.
