Default picnics in Paris

Hi. I'm new to this group. I am going to Paris in a few days and will
likely try to have some lunchtime picnics in the parks. Can you drink
wine in public or must you do it surreptitiously?
Thanks.

As long as you don't get rat-arsed and start harassing passers-by,
you'll be OK.

If it's a California wine, brown bag it.

You will be OK as long as it is a gallon jug of Paul Masson.

I forgot to mention: watch out for 'pelouse au repos' signs on the grass
in those parks. If you see them, don't venture onto the green bits.
