Default Inexpensive accommodation in Venice and Florence

Hello,

I've already started to ask for inexpensive
accommodation in Rome

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/rec...1168e122a02c12

I'm also looking for inexpensive accommodation
in Venice and Florence.

Any suggestion is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Pia

There are a surprising number of inexpensive locations in Venice. Check
hostelworld.com. It includes cheap hotels and "pensiones". There are a
fair number around the railway station.

She had a group of students with her and everyone was comfortable. The
rooms were adequate and clean. You have your choice of hostel-ish
rooms or hotel-ly rooms. All very reasonably priced. And it's right in
the heart of the city.

sometimes helpful people pry me out from beneath it!

For Venice have a look at Hotel Villa Rosa www.villarosahotel.com
Small hotel in Cannareggio, very close to train station & walking
distance to parking garages or where bus comes in from airport- they
have a small garden, with some rooms opening on to garden Just a short
walk to residential areas in Cannareggio for a feel of Venetian life
yet close enough for station, vaporetto etc Check out
tripadvisor.com Villa Rosa has some good comments on there Have a
wonderful time in Italia
