South Africa: Garden Route Victoria Bay surfcam proving to quite popular in the 2 weeks of operation

The Victoria Bay Surfcam is proving to be quite popular
with the local surfers, as they can check the surf before the 15min
trip down to Vic Bay, which lies only 10 km away from George.
Victria Bay lies between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth
on the Garden Route of South Africa, really a beautiful place.

AT night you will see the light of Wilderness, dawn is at 05:00
and starts getting dark at 20:00

The images will update every 60 seconds and two images will be
available for viewing Wide-angle (42mm lens) and Zoom (150mm lens)
Zoom image is the centre of the wide angle lens.

What you will see in the Vicbay webcam:
a.. Surfers
b.. Dolphins - quite diffucult to see
c. Beautiful sunrises at 5 am in the morning

We will be introducing more webcams in the next few months.
Our next webcam will be one at the local railway station in George
where we still have a steam train hauled passenger which passes thru
Vic Bay just to the left of the wide angle camera lens.

Ideas which be to introduce a Pan Tilt Zoom camera to the left of this
surfcam catching a nice angle of the waves.
