om...
Some like it hot, others best be careful!

Because of:

... we're getting:

But why did the poor woman's parents name her after a trying-to-be-posh
hotel?

Perhaps they didn't have a hotel in Paris at the time and thought it a good
way to say they did!

Nouveau riche parents often seem to choose rather bizarre names for
their offspring. IMO, the worst I've heard was the Lear Jet heiress -
"Shanda". (No wonder rich kids so often get into trouble - how else can
they convince their peers that they're normal, despite the names their
parents saddled them with?)

One suspects that Moon-Unit-Two and Dweezil Zappa would have little
difficulty winning such a competition were it to be held (or isn't their
father Nouveau enough?)

I was wondering the same time... What kind of sick parents name their child
Paris when their last name is Hilton?????
No wonder she has problems!

Well at least those names were unique and unusual. But really,
Paris Hilton?
Shanda Lear?

The Paris Hilton hotel was built in 1966. The Paris Hilton girl was
built in 1981.

BTW, the last time I checked Greek mitology, "Paris" was a male name,
e.g. http://www.operapiccola.de/spielplan/parisundhelena.htm
