Default Chinese Transit Visa

Hi, I'm flying into Bangkok via Taipei and Los Angeles on China
Airlines. Do I need a transit visa for my brief stay in China? I won't
even be leaving the terminal. Thanks.

What is your nationality? Questions like the one above can not be answered

hang on CHINA AIRLINE is the national airline for Taiwan and AIR CHINA is
the national airline for RoChina isnt it?

So really you dont need a transit visa for China when your not even landing
in the country.... try seeing the Taiwan visa depending on your passport.

shouldn't be an issue. BTW, it's "republic of china" better known as
taiwan that you are transiting through.

do not ask a newsgroup about important things like this. call the airline
and the Taiwan Embassy in the US. ask them. they know.

FWIW, every time I've flown from LA to Bangkok via Taiwan I did not pass
through immigration, just did an international transfer. so, I did not
enter Taiwan at all. just went to the gate or transit lounge to await my
next flight.
