France, Switzerland and Germany
I am doing a business trip to a few European countries in June. Stopping at
Carros (outside Nice) Castres (Lyon) Wadenswil (near Zurich) Karlsruhe and Bruckmuhl (near Munich). Do I nead to pre-book hotels or Guest houses or can I just pitch up? I would like to be a little flexible in my times and most of these places (except maybe Karlsruhe) seem to be smaller places. I am also doing Milan, but have booked there, because hotels seem to fill up fast in a city like Milan. Any advice welcome! thanks -- Adolf Joubert |

Wädenswil is a small town on Lake Zurich hilly shores - some 20' by train from downtown Zurich. Nice place for living, not really a tourist resort, so not many hotels, and all kind of small: http://www.waedenswil.ch/standort/hotels/ If you want take advantage of staying in Wädenswil, best probably is to reserve a room as soon as you can, or at least check ahead for availability But there are plenty of hotels in the area (at worst you would have to get a room in Zurich) - if you travel by car, avoid downtown Zurich (driving in Zurich is a mess, parking worse and expensive) and look for some smaller place in the area. If price is an issue, avoid Lake Zurich and Lake Zug area. Have a great trip! |
