Max,
Queensland has a superb range of top quality public and resort golf courses available for anyone to play. There are several in and around Noosa in the Sunshine Coast. Hyatt Regency Coolum is the best, most expensive and you need to stay at the resort to play (most days) Noosa Springs, Twin Waters and Club Pelican Waters are the next best ones. But the best value is probably Mount Coolum or Noosa Valley at around $30.00 per round See http://www.ausgolf.com.au/qldpublic.htm for a listing of all public courses in Queensland I cannot comment on which course has the best prices for learning to play, maybe someone else can, or search costs via each golf course website and contact them. My advise if you are staying that long in Queensland is to join up a Golf Membership Club so that you can experience a number of different quality courses right around Australia at discounted rates. See http://www.geocities.com/ozgolfholidays/ for detailed explanations about this membership, plus information about Golf Courses, Resorts and Travel in Australia - this site has direct links to all their courses.
