Default Bucket shops for Air tickets ??

Do "bucket shops" still exist?

Someone once told me they found a such a ticket outlet that handled
nothing but surplus seats on charter flights to tropical resorts.

She paid some kind of small fee and the approximate dates she wanted to
travel and they would give her some choices of holiday places she could
buy cheap tickets for...

If such shops/deals still exist in the age of Expedia etc., how would I
locate one?
