Well, according to Ultimate Traffic, Southwest flight

probably be quite old.

Sorry - I wouldn't rely on a computer game for authoritative data on real life.

The aircraft in question was a 737-700 and was less than 2 years old.
Furthermore, it had just completed a maint check in Phoenix.

He is right that Ultimate Traffic does have some use in the real
world.
I used it to look up schedules to Cuba that the Web-based travel
services would not show you. I found a way to get from Australia
to Cuba without having to transit the United States. The routing
via Auckland and Buenos Aires will not show up in a search on
any of the Web-based travel agents.
I now go by way of Auckland and Buenos Aires, to Havana. Since
I NO LONGER have to transit through the United States, that makes
me NOT SUBJECT to the USA travel restrictions even MORE SO
that I was before. Since I dont have to go through the USA, I am
NOT SUBJECT to any travel restrictions.
For any American citizens living in Australia, who desire to travel
to Cuba, you can now go through Auckland and Buenos Aires
using Air New Zealand, Aerolineas Argentinas, and Cubana, and
can avoid having to travel through the United States. So for those
Americans living in Australia, who do not yet possess Australian
citizenship, you can now go via the afforementioned locations
and not have to worry about ever being fined or caught by the
US government. Just make sure the Cuban authorities dont
stamp your passport, and the US authorities will NEVER KNOW
you were in Cuba, beucase you will be avoiding the USA coming
to or from Cuba.

Since I

1. Use AUSTRALIAN money money drawn in AUSTRALIAN banks
2. Use an AUSTRALIAN passport
3. DO NOT go through the United States
4. LIVE in AUSTRALIA

those four factors make me NO SUBJECT to the travel restrictions on
Cuba. But the best part of not having to travel through the United
States is being able to bring home rum or cigars from Cuba, and
not have to worry about US Customs. Or if I want to bring home
some Hatuey beer from Cuba, I can do that now without having
to worry about passing through US Customs.
Also, the latest updates I have show a lot of what are apparently
fugture routes that Jetstar plans to use when theri international
operations kick into high gear. Apparently, you will eventually be
able to travel direct to Mexico, from Australia, without stopping
in the USA. The future route I have has three stops, Fiji,
Tahiti, and Acapulco, before reaching Mexico City. Once in
Mexico CIty, one can simply switch over to another flight
for Havana. That will allow flights from Australia to Cuba,
that will take almost the same amount of time that it
does now to go via the USA.
So for American expats living in Australia, that would like to go
to Cuba on holiday, the future looks bright, as you can now
go to Cuba without travelling through the USA.
