Default BRAZIL -- Portuguese Language courses

Can anyone recommend from personal experience a good language school in
Brazil, preferably somewhere along the coast? Rio would be fine. Bahia,
Florianopolis... I don't know, I've never been there. I want to see
Brazilian music -- choro, bossa nova, samba. I play guitar and would like
to learn how to play the cavaquinho also. I would go for 3 or 6 months.

Thanks in advance for any advice people can offer...

I suggest the Polyglot Language School (http://www.polyglot.com.br).
The school is run by Prof. Emma Eberlein Lima, who is the author of the
well-known textbook "Falar, Ler, Escrever Portugues: Um curso para
estrangeiros", used in several US and British universities for
Portuguese language instruction. The only problem is that the Polyglot
school is located in Sao Paulo and, therefore, is not on the coast as
you would prefer. A short drive can take you though from Sao Paulo city
to the coast. The coastline of the state of Sao Paulo is actually one
of the nicest in Brazil with warm waters and mountains covered with
tropical rainforest on the background. There are also excellent spots
along the Sao Paulo coast for surfing and windsurfing.
