How long does it take to travel from San Francisco to Boston, Mass by
car? Can I do it in 5 days?

I have found that my average driving time over long distances always comes
out to 50 mph. That accounts for gas and rest stops and going over the
speed limit when you can get away with it. I actually drove from Cleveland
Oh to Los Angeles in three days, but that last day I drove 1100 miles in 22
hours. Don't try it! Last week I drove from Cincinnati to Toronto to
Poughkeepsi NY, to Lancaster Pa and back to Cincy. Yep, 50 mph average. I
was able to guess my arrival time home within five minutes when I was over
400 miles away. Be sure to where your seat belt and check your car over
before you leave. Have a good trip.

My Street Atlas software says its almost exactly 3100 miles.
The program suggests that you could do it in 53 hrs or 10.6
hrs. each day. Using another poster's 50/mph suggestion,
it'd take 62 hrs or 12.4 hrs each day.

Personally, I've driven from Florida to Denver in 3 days,
and figured that it was another 2 to L.A. So, I think that,
while it won't be fun, it can be done. [Rog']
