My wife and I are planning a train trip to Portland for the summer

What are the "Don't leave until you've seen it" sights in and around
Portland?

We are going to be there during the last week in June and have already
found that some of the hotel are booked up. I something going on?

Thanks

I am not from Portland, but noticed something interesting as we drove
