This is EXACTLY the kind of things people said when it was proposed that whites
and blacks could marry. And it's the same ugly thing.

Default I want to marry my dog!

Now that homos can marry each other and marriage no longer means union
between a man and a woman I was thinking, I really love my dog, he
loves me, we've been together for 5 years (long term commited
relationship) and we plan on spending the rest of our lives together.
Can I marry my dog?

Also, my neighbor has a Burmese python that he feels the same way
about. Can they get married?

Also, one of the guys at work wants to know if he can marry his 6 year
old daughter.

By the way, I signed a 30 year mortgage when I bought my house. Can
we be considered married?

You are so stupid.

Let's argue with your strawman.

No, you can't marry your dog. Your dog cannot consent as an adult. It does
not have the mental capacity to consent.

Your neighbor's python does not have the mental capacity to consent.

Your co-workers six year old does not have the mental capcacity to consent.

And you don't have the mental capacity to intelligently argue this.

What if 3 men want to marry each other?
Where does it end?

From the same idiots that skipped the same civics classes.

Hey, Tom, look up 'informed consent.'

Whine that to Scalia.

In his dissent, Justice Scalia takes care to distance himself from
one of the cases he relies upon, a century-old decision upholding
an anti-polygamy statute on the grounds that the statute was
"wholesome and necessary in the founding of a free, self-governing
commonwealth, fit to take rank as one of the co-ordinate States
of the Union." Justice Scalia quotes the decision but adds a
disclaimer: "I would not myself indulge in such official praise for
heterosexual monogamy, because I think it no business of the
courts (as opposed to the political branches) to take sides in
this culture war."

It depends on the state, but in most states, a lower level IQ is set and
below that people are not allowed to give "informed consent" without either
state approval, or parent/guardian approval, and/or court approval. It
depends on the state and the system they have in place. Here in Michigan,
I believe that an IQ of 45 and below is the standard used.
