Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Pearl left the covered building dock at
the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, after completing extensive
tests and engine trials. The ship is now berthed at an outfitting pier where
all remaining work will be completed. The 93,500-ton Norwegian Pearl is
scheduled to transit the Ems River to Eemshaven, The Netherlands, on Nov. 4
for sea trials. Following its inaugural sailing on Dec.16 from Miami, the
Norwegian Pearl will sail nine-day Southern Caribbean and five-day Western
Caribbean itineraries roundtrip from Miami through April. It will then
reposition to Seattle to operate seven-day Alaska cruises for the summer
before returning to Miami in September for the remainder of 2007. The
Norwegian Pearl will feature a four-lane bowling alley, a rock-climbing wall
and two Deluxe Owner Suites. The 2,400-passenger ship will also feature 10
restaurants, 11 bars and lounges, two swimming pools and a casino. For more
