Hurricane Ivan Updates!
Hi Everyone,
I received this information from Royal Caribbean and thought it would be of interest. If you have missed any of my news' postings, they are available on my web site. Best regards, Ray LIGHTHOUSE TRAVEL 800-719-9917 or 805-566-3905 http://www.lighthousetravel.com Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Expects Little Disruption from Hurricane Ivan, Modifies Mariner of the Seas Sailing MIAMI, Sep 9, 2004 Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. expects Hurricane Ivan to cause minimal disruption to its ship operations. The company currently anticipates its ships to arrive and depart as scheduled this weekend. Hurricane Ivan will likely cause only minor modifications involving ports of call. Based on damage to Port Canaveral caused by Hurricane Frances, Royal Caribbean International is modifying the departure port of Mariner of the Seas. The ship will now sail its Sunday, September 12, seven-night cruise from the Port of Miami. Port Canaveral, the ship's original embarkation port, sustained damage to its harbor entrance and is currently closed to cruise-ship traffic. Mariner of the Seas will delay its departure from the Port of Miami until 8 p.m. local time, Sunday. The ship will sail its normal itinerary and will return to the Port of Miami on Sunday morning, September 19. Due to Hurricane Ivan, ports of call are subject to change. Royal Caribbean International will transport guests from Port Canaveral and the Orlando International Airport to the Port of Miami for this sailing. The company also will return guests to those locations at the conclusion of this sailing. Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are updating their websites three times daily, at 10 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the latest developments regarding sailings. Guests are encouraged to visit the cruise lines' websites at http://www.royalcaribbean.com and http://www.celebrity.com. Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises are operated by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., a global cruise-vacation company with a combined total of 29 ships in service and two under construction. The company also offers unique cruise tour vacations in Alaska, Canada and Europe. Additional information can be found by contacting your travel professional. |

Hi Everyone,
I received this information from Norwegian Cruise Lines and thought it would be of interest. If you have missed any of my news' postings, they are available on my web site. Best regards, Ray LIGHTHOUSE TRAVEL 800-719-9917 or 805-566-3905 http://www.lighthousetravel.com Norwegian Cruise Line continues to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Ivan in order to finalize the itinerary for Norwegian Dawn's cruise commencing September 12, 2004. Because of uncertainty regarding the storm's path, the company is delaying announcing any revision to the itinerary until it has all the relevant information. As things stand, it may be necessary to amend Norwegian Dawn's itinerary next week. The company's contingency itinerary plans are ready and once it has a clearer picture of the storm's path it will announce an itinerary to ensure a safe and enjoyable cruise. As soon as the company has any further information it will post an update on www.ncl.com under "Storm Update" and advise the team in the call center, who can be reached by calling 1-800-327-7030.
