Safest Places in the US?
John wrote:
I just wondered what states people would regard as being some of the safest places to live in the USA? When I say "safe" I mean the safest states from dangers such as natural disasters like Hurricanes, Tornados, Earthquakes, Floods, Wild Fires, Grapefruit sized hailstones, Severe Weather etc, as well as from crime, gangs and things like that? The White House. The last time anything untoward happened there was way back in 1812, when the Brits burned it down. None of the hazards listed. And security is as tight as can be. No inhabitants have been attacked/killed/injured on its grounds. Only drawback is that to live there you have to convince the majority of people who actually vote in the United States that you are the one who should reside there. And once you become a resident, your tenure is at most eight years. But - rent free! |
