Default Terminal 2 to Terminal 7 at LAX

We will be doing this transit in December- I believe we will be able to
recheck our luggage after clearing customs. Is it possible to walk from 2 to
7, and what is the approximate walking time? As our flight day is Dec 22 I
would rather avoid the shuttles if possible. Thank you.

The terminals at LAX are in a U shape and you can walk from any
terminal to any other if you want. T2 and T7 are on opposite sides of
the U so you can either walk around, down one side to the
international terminal and back up the other side, or just make your
way through the parking garages in the middle. I've done both, allow
perhaps 15 minutes.

That said, if it's raining I'd still take the shuttle bus. It's not
that bad.

Should take you less than 10 minutes to walk across once you clear customs. Keep
in mind that you will need to re-clear security at T7 and the Friday before
Christmas will be a busy time.

Yeah, the buses are good fun. If I'm stuck at LAX for a few hours (after a
14 hour flight in), I might catch the bus out to that carpark "C" and back,
just to kill a bit of time. without baggage, they're great. With baggage,
the whole transit would be a nightmare.
