Default LAX shutdown

Had a quick read of a news sippet announcing that NBC is cancelling the "LAX"
show.

It is a big blow to Heather Locklear as I suspect she had bet a lot on this
show. It wasn't a low budget show. (She was also producer).

I did like the scene where one guy is inside a 747, then opens the door to the
outside and it is the rear door of a 727 :-)

(not quite as bad as the usual movie scene showing a 737 on the outside and a
747 with stairwell to upstairs lounge in the inside :-)

Obviously, NBC will replace it with some reality show. I think that the US
media have decided not to do anything but crime and/or reality shows.

BTW, talking about reality shows, Trump Hotels are under bankrupcy protection
while donald trump reorganises the debts. Last year, when his show started to
air, there were already articles about his upcoming financial problems with
his older hotels/casinos (which were featured in his TV programme). For this
season, they had touted Delta as being one of the partners where the unpaid
actors will have to perform.

Reality shows are a hit with all the networks as they dont have to pay the
writers blood money
like they do with regular dramas.

And no appearance fees or residuals to the participants... There is a minor
tradeoff from the producers perspective in that syndication potential is very
limited.

Although someone was talking about starting an all-reality programming channel
recently. No, I don't meen the Food Channel!
