Great wall of China, from Hong Kong -how?

I'll be visiting Hong Kong, and I was wondering about taking a short trip over to mainland China, mainly only to see (and walk a bit around) the great wall of China. Perhaps you take a look on a map of China. You can make it from Hong Kong by plane to some airfield close to the wall and hence make a short trip in terms of time spent otherwise the trip is only slightly shorter than the journey Mao committed himself in 1940's.
