Default Weekly rentals in texas, how to locate?

A buddy and I are planning to travel to Texas for a month long golfing
holiday. How does one find inexpensive weekly hotel, motel, trailer
rentals? We were thinking a week each in the Dallas/Fort Worth ares, San
Antonio, Rio Grande valley, and Houston. I've done a lot of Web
searching but appearantly I'm not very good at it. Any suggestions
apreciated.

Ok, I lied. That suggestion was not appreciated (B-). We're old farts
who want to be reasonably comfortable. And no way are we pulling a trailer.
