Default Helena, Arkansas curfew

Seems that Helena, Arkansas has implemented a 24 hour curfew affecting
_everyone_. Anybody on the streets may be stoppped and questioned and
searched at any time for no reason at all.

I'm not going to say anything about the merits or legality of it, but
figured that anybody who might be headed that way might want to be
aware of it.

has a story on it, google "Helena AR curfew" for more information.

In an (un)related story:

A state disciplinary panel on Friday suspended the law license
of Helena-West Helena Mayor James Valley for 30 days over his
actions in a child support case unrelated to his city duties.

Anyone who's dumb enough to go there should be jailed anyway.

Helena-West Helena AR is well off the beaten track. Doubt they have too many
casual visitors.

My error as I didn't consider riverboats. Guess they better do something
about the crime before it scares away all the visitors coming for the
sights.

"In Life on the Mississippi, Mark Twain wrote, "Helena occupies one of the
prettiest situations on the river." Home to seven generals of the
Confederacy, the town offers many attractions on the National Register of
Historic Places. Bearing historic significance after the Confederates
suffered defeat there in 1863, Helena also offers the Confederate Cemetery
and Louisiana Purchase State Park."

And Conway Twitty mover to Helena, AR when he was 10 years old.
