your experience (can you use a map/compass)
your level of fitness
where else you are going to be
how far/long you are prepared to travel
when you want to go

Up and down Ben Nevis is probably the most obvious tourist choice in the
West.

What about stepping on the train to Gourock (10 minutes) and taking a
ferry to Dunoon?
