It's hardly spamming. He's just a fellow travel enthusiast. I've learned
about a lot of great travelogue and photo sites from people who posted here.
Alfred Molon's site, which I pop over to any time I'm feeling nostalgic for
Malaysia, inspired me (curse you Alfred) to spend an entire weekend locked
in my apartment revamping my own site.

It becomes spamming when people who don't have any interest in the newsgroup
just show up to make commercial posts.

I just object to people thinking they can stick up a website with
either a load of (what they think) are interesting photos, or an
interesting theme, then spamming newsgroups telling people to look at
them. If his photo's or website were that good he wouldn't need to
tell people, would he.

Maybe let people make their own opinion.

Also if you are going to announce something publicly you shouldnt get
****ed off when someone takes a poke publicly.

I mean, I have 6 websites. Do I go around publicising them here, No.

You have a pretty restricted view of things. It's pretty normal to
announce travel photo galleries in the travel newsgroups.

He's not spamming any newsgroups. Travelogues and travel photos are
perfectly appropriate for travel newsgroups and there are many subscribers
who enjoy them. *Doh!* KM
