Default Renting the Owner's Suite

If the Owners Suite is not booked during a particular cruise, has anyone
ever heard of booking it for a private party? It is always a nice big cabin,
sometimes with a piano and always with great space and amenities.

Has anyone ever done this?

A very interesting idea. Something I will keep in mind as a possibility for
future occasions.

You could approach the Food & Beverage Manager and inquire at least. All they
can do is say no ......

On our 2001 Med cruise (HAL), the Owners suite (and a couple of the
other suites next to it) were not occupied. They had been but the
cruisers canceled at the last minute.

Anyway, the cabins were offered to everyone onboard for a "nominal"
upgrade price:
Pay the difference between your category daily brochure rate and the
Owner's daily brochure rate for as many days as you have the cabin.

Extrapolating from that, I'd say that they (the cruise line) would be
open to a private booking as follows:
Example cruise (10 days)
Owner's Suite price for the cruise $15,000 PP
Cabin cost for the cruise: ($15,000 x 2) = $30,000
Daily cost of the cabin: $30,000 / 10 = $3,000

Price of your private party: $,3000 - the cost of the cabin for 1 day.

I'm guessing you did well in math.

I did well in debate.

Everything is negotiable!

Being able to have a blast on a cruise even in a cheap inside cabin =
priceless.
