Sandals Antigua
Does anyone have an first hand knowledge of this all-inclusive? We are
considering it for a group vacation in November or December 2006. TIA. Heather |

We are all 'seasoned' cruisers (as in cruise ship people) but we want to try
something different. We were in Antigua in November 2003 on a cruise and like the island so we want to go back. We like the idea of having everything right there if we want it and we don't have to think about where we are going to have dinner or what beach are we going to try to get to today. I too was on a cruise ship that stopped at Antigua. Becasue the ship was
there so long we took a cab out to the Hawksbill beach resort. It looked like a very nice all-inclusive resort, but there is nothing close by so you have to take a taxi anywhere else. Some locals and day visitors like us used the beach too, but it was not crowded at all. The only negative was that there were some large rocks at the waters edge that made wading out a somewhat risky adventure with the surf wanting to knock you over. This was not so bad at the closest beach as it was at the far end. (There are 4 coves, with the farthest being clothing optional.) As I said the Hawksbill was nice, but probably not as fancy as Sandals (never been there - only seen ads). "Norm Clifton" wrote in message ...
