Just returned from cruise - don't get it...
Tom & Linda wrote: "Sue and Kevin Mullen" wrote in message ... Jean O'Boyle wrote: "Sue and Kevin Mullen" wrote in message ... IMO it would be very hard to enforce. One time I was in the hospital for my asthma and there was no smoking in the hospital. A patient in the next room, that I shared a bathroom with, was smoking in the bathroom and that gained me another 3 or 4 days in the hospital. If they can't enforce it in a hospital, I don't think they can do it on a cruise ship. sue Sue, did you complain about this? Oh yes and so did my respitory(sp) therapist and the nurses. It was one of them who noticed a strange smell and went hunting it down. I don't know who was more upset, me or the staff. It was a young man who was sneaking a smoke and he was given a good talking to. I don't know what was wrong with him, but he was able to go downstairs and step outside for a smoke. You can't kick a patient out of the hospital, as you could of kicked someone off the Paradise(grin). sue You could make him or his insurance company pay for the 3-4 extra days you spent in the hospital. My insurance covered it, but I would of liked to see them go after him(grin). The staff did get me moved to another room, where I only shared the bathroom with my roommate. sue |

Nice sentiment but you would have to file suit for any compensation. Most times there is no justice for the actions of rude/clueless folk. -- Charles |
