Default First trip to China, any advice!

My wife and I are taking a trip to China this summer. We are very
excited, but we'd love any advice on what to take along.

Congratulations

Can you be a bit more specific ?

Do you want to travel on your own, by airplane, by train,
How long do you want to go there ?
Where are you from ?
Are there some limits on your budget ?
What are your priorities ?
Nature, people, culture, beach, nightlife, excavatons, history,
architecture, trekking, business, mountain tribes, language, religion,
What do you prefer and in which sequence ?

A camera, lots of extra electronic storage or film.

I'd bring a passport, just to be safe.

Don't have a fever when you'll get to airport in China.
