Default Tourist: rabbit fur into Australia ?

Planning to visit Melbourne later in the Winter. Wify wants to bring
her rabbit fur coat.
Will this be allowed through? Is there not a restiriction about
"leather product" crossing customs?

It would be best to declare it when you enter,m however there should be no
problem if it was commercially cured.

See

It really depends on whom you get at quarantine. I got "flagged" for my hat
(made in Australia!!) because "it's been overseas."

What is the material of the hat? What happened to you when you got
"flagged"?
