Hi, guys.
How far is Mae Salong from Chang Rai? We're thinking about renting a
motorcycle in Chang Rai to visit Mae Salong. Has any one done this and
can share your experience?
Thanks.

Dana.

We cycled through from Tha Ton to Chiang Rai.

Salong.

There is a steep ascent to Mae Salong. You would do well renting a strong
bike.

Not much of a ride from CR up to Mae Salong......although a pleasant scoot.
The route between Thaton and Mae Salong is quite impressive (mountainous) .
I would suggest renting a bike in Chiengmai and running due North through
Chiang Dao, Fang, Thaton, Mae Salong...downhill to Chiang Rai and then North
again to Mae Sai. A good run.

Regards........Ken
