Default "Please Stay Seated Until the Doctor Has Parked the Plane at theTerminal"

I was on a Delta flight from ATL to SFO yesterday, and the FA upon
landing the FA said "Please Stay Seated Until the Doctor Has Parked the
Plane at the Terminal Gate." She corrected herself, but as I got off I
asked the pilot, "are you the doctor that landed the plane." Now what
was she thinking while she was making the announcement?

One other weird thing was that the middle seat occupant in my row
changed seats to an unoccupied aisle seat. Before takeoff, but after the
doors had closed, the FA said that the middle seat was needed by an
off-duty FA deadheading to SFO. They apologized to us, offered us free
movies and didn't charge us for alcoholic drinks, just because they
seated someone there?! They then seated a stunning young Brazilian woman
between us. She offered to change seats with me because my audio jack
wasn't working, and she asked me for an Altoid when we landed, but that
was the extent of our conversation.

Smart alec.

One of my favorite flying-memories was from 30 years ago when, as
a college-aged kid on a 1/4 occupied 727, the stewardess (as they
were called then), plied me with several rum-drinks w/o charge and
sat near me when resting. Now, why was that? ... I was clueless.

Dang, dude... Don't you know that's code for "I want to have wild, unimaginable
sex with you as soon as possible?"
