AOL Newsgroup service will be discontinued in early 2005.
Can anyone recommend another cruising newsgroup that I can subscribe to?
I usually use the google boards mostly to research past posts. Happy Cruisin' Mark Home Port: Monmouth County,NJ. |

Why not stick with r.t.c., but subscribe to a free news service like news.individual.net (which Charles told me about). http://news.individual.net/ Then use Outlook Express (which comes with all Windows computers) to read your newsgroups. They even give you instructions on how to configure Outlook Express to work with their server at their website. http://news.individual.net/configura...tlook5_en.html To me, Outlook Express is a VERY easy way to read newsgroups. --Tom |

I agree with using news.individual.net, formerly known as the German server. I disagree with using OE, Netscape or Mozilla are much safer and easier to use. They have the browser and email bundled together. sue |

I don't care for Netscape 7.2, so I went with Internet Explorer and Outlook Express. Since they're Microsoft, they tend to give me the least trouble. We have Thunderbird at work and I don't care for it. --Tom |

I am giving Celebrity another chance...you've got to be there to see it!! ;-) --Jean |

We have it set up just the same as we did with netscape 4.8. I don't know much about setting this stuff up, Kevin does it for us. If you want to mess around with it, I am sure Kevin would be glad to help. sue |
