Getting to Mont-Tremblant
Hi
I am thinking about going to Mont-Tremblant with my gf for Fall colors in early October. I live in North York , Ontario ,thus i know i will take HWY 401 East. Here are my questions : (1)I visited Montreal before . What would be the shortest routes you recommend me to take ? Please let me know in details if possible. (2)What beautiful attractions would you recommend me to drop by, while it's on my way to Mont-Tremblant ? |

Take Hwy 13 North then Hwy 640 East and Hwy 15 North. On your way to Tremblant, past St-Jerome on Hwy 15 North, there's a lot of small villages with good restaurants. Check this site for more info : http://www.laurentides.com/ On your way back, you can take road 323 to Montebello (there's a zoo near the town and a couple of good restaurants). Continue to Ottawa on Hwy 148/50 and then back to North York on 416 South and then 401 West. Have a nice trip ! Christian Gatineau, Quebec |

When you get into the Montreal area from highway 401 to autoroute 40, take
highway 15 north. Once you are in the Ste Agathe area, you will connect onto highway 117. This will take you up to Mont Tremblant. Look for the signs after you past St Jovite for the exit towards Mont Tremblant.. It is about 1 1/2 hours up. Halfway up is Saint Sauveur which is a nice little town. Near the highway are mega outlets but into town is a nice street with quaint boutiques and restaurants. Take 401 until you connect to autoroute 40. Once you get past west island,
the least complicated route is to take highway 15 up which then connects to 117 to Tremblant. However, if there's traffic on the 40 once you past the airport area, you can opt to take number 13 north and then 640 over to the 15. This is the way I go up north to avoid the lower part of the 15 at the 40 intersection which can get a bit busy. I would suggest to stop over at Ste Sauveur which is half way up to Tremblant. It's a nice little village. There's mega warehouse outlets by the highway but if you go further into town, there's nice quaint boutiques and restaurants.
