Default Need help with my son's Make-A-Wish trip to Rome & Florence

Hello all,
My name is Laurie and my family lives in Maryland. My 17 year old son
has been fighting a rare & aggressive cancer for just over a year now.
He has a Make-A Wish trip to Italy (hopefully) scheduled for around the
15th of March. The foundation would like some feed back from us (soon--
maybe even tomorrow) about this trip. I had read on some thread
somewhere a while back that you can get a direct flight into Rome and
then take a train (if arriving in the AM) to Florence to arrive by
lunch. We thought we would stay the majority of the time in Florence
and then return to Rome a day or two prior to departure to see a couple
of the big sites. Any opinions on times/airports/trains/lodging/must
see shows/events would be greatly appriciated!! FYI- my brother's (my
son's uncles) who just turned 20 years old will be joining us too... so,
mom, dad, 17 year old & two twenty year olds. Advice please

You are asking a too wide spectum of questions.
Get yourself a travel book of the country, browse through and pinpoint
the most important open issues.
