Buffalo, NY - Toronto & 1000 Islands - Buffalo, NY

In mid October, I am going a trip, Buffalo, NY - Toronto & 1000
Islands - Buffalo, NY for 2 nights & 3 days
I will rent a car and cross the border. I will stay at Niagara Falls
(Canadian side) for the 2nd night.
For the 1st day, I will be arriving at Toronto ~ noon and plan to
spend some time in downtown. For the 1st night, I like to stay at a
hotel close to 1000 Islands so that I can take a boat tour. Do you
have any recommendations on accommodations and boat tour near 1000
Islands (Canadian side)? Are there any "must-see-spots" in Toronto
area?

There are lots of good things to see and do in Toronto. If you are
interested in galleries and museums, The Art Gallery of Ontario and the
Royal Ontario Museum are both worth visiting and if you want to do them
both in one day they are within walking distance of each other.... a
long walk, but a nice one.

If you want shopping and restaurants there are a few downtown areas that
may be of particular interest. My suggestions would be the area around
Yonge and Bloor St, Queen St. West from Yonge St. to Spadina, or Front
St. East.
