You didn't say the part of the world where you reside, so it's difficult to
advise as to what is "best". What one person considers "best" or "perfect"
another may consider too warm, etc. You might try the Weather Underground
website at:

visit NASA, the Vatican, the Smithsonian, the Louvre, CIA, FBI or
CNN, NBA, the White House, Academy Awards & 150 foreign languages
Visit Hawaii, Israel and mo http://keith.martin.home.att.net/

I am looking for guaranteed no storms or heavy rains +
pleasant temparatures - Day temparatures not above
100 & not below 70.

You might
try the Weather Underground website at:

Will look through it, thanx.

But I am more looking for personal experiences, what
time of the year did some enjoy going to the place most?

I am looking for weather info about the

snip
Africa
-------
Egypt
South Africa
Mauritius

--------------------------------------------

As far as South Africa goes, the weather for visiting varies with the part
of the country. The most pleasant time for the Western Cape (weatherwise)
is March, when the wind drops and the weather cools down but isn't winter
yet. However, in September, which is our spring, the flowers come out, and
the whales visit our shores, and that makes up for the unpredictability of
the weather. The Cape has winter rainfall (May to September if we're
lucky).

The best time of the year to visit the Kruger Park area (which is the other
major tourist attraction in South Africa) is September/October, as this is
before the rain starts and therefore the trees have no leaves, which makes
searching for game much easier. It's still reasonable cool, but not yet the
searing heat of summer.

Having said all that, we, in South Africa, really don't have such extreme
temperatures - If you are travelling it would be best to have an
air-conditioned vehicle for comfort, but not imperative. My touring
vehciles always have air-conditiong, but my personal vehicle doesn't. (It's
very old and I'm very fond of it!)

Hope that helps,

Catherine

Hawaii - any time of year, the mountains of Colorado (in summertime for your
parameters), London, Rome, Paris, the Swiss Alps in the summertime. KM

I am thinking of Johannesburg & whatever else is worth visiting
around there. Where does that fall in the above description?
