I'm going to Denmark at the weekend. I hear they have Danish Krone. Do
you know if Euros are widely accepted?

You can pay with Euro at the airport railway station, but then they'll
accept Dollars/Pounds/CHF/Whatever there.

Other than that I didn't notice widespread acceptance of Euro.

(Unless it has changed in the past two years) unlike the rest of Europe, in
Scandinavia you will get good rates of exchange at Forex offices

No, not widely. If you happen to be in a tourist location or close to
the Danish-German border, you might stumble upon shops that accept
Euros, though - but don't count on it.

If you have Euros you may exchange them at any bank for about 7.45
kroner per Euro (most Danes reject the Euro, but don't mind fixing their
"independend" currency to it … .

Do they still have Euros?

I'll see if I can find a cash machine. The snag is that we're on a
sailing boat coming from Flensburg in Germany, so we'll be landing
mostly in fairly small harbours that may or may not have such luxuries.

Still, it might be an idea to get some Kronors before the Euro goes into
final meltdown. At our local bank they said they had some, but the
cashier said they didn't, and if we ordered them they wouldn't arrive
until Tuesday- obviously Monday is the day the Euro goes belly up! Be
warned!

I imagine they're probably still accepted?

You should have no problems getting Kroner at banks in Flensburg.

In any case, the usual advice: Take your credit or Maestro card and use
ATMs. You'll find them in Denmark, too.

obviously Monday is the day the Euro goes belly up! Be warned!

I'd be happy if I could go belly up this summer - considering weather
around here the past weeks
