For those not familiar with this route:

New San Francisco Service
Initially there will be three services per week departing every
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday utilising a 392 seat Boeing 747-400
aircraft. The services, which are also codeshared by Star Alliance
partner United Airlines, will depart from San Francisco and Auckland
in the evening, with the 12-hour flight arriving in Auckland early
morning and arriving in San Francisco midday.

Air New Zealand has been flying from Los Angeles since 1965 when a
twice weekly DC8 service to Auckland was first introduced. San
Francisco International Airport will join Los Angeles (LAX) and
Honolulu airports as the third United States gateway city to New
Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Air New Zealand's new service out of San Francisco marks the first new
international gateway for the airline since 1995 and becomes the 21st
destination on the airline's international network.
