Default Fort Lauderdale Hotels any Recommendations PLEASE

Looking to book for a group of 20 post cruise need some suggestions for
a hotel. We will probably head to BEACH PLACE at night.
I have Booked the BW Marina, but not sure it is a good place.
Anyone stayed or heard of TROPIROCKS Hotel. Would like to stay at a nice
hotel but moderately priced.

THANKS

I don't know about the Best Western marina but definitely stay away from
Embassy Suites. I just stayed there 3 nights post cruise last weekend and
the place is in need of some major cleaning.

You wouldn't want Tropiroc. It's a small hotel with less than 140
units. The only way you'd get to Beach Place is by taxi. Tropiroc is
almost in Lauderdale-By-The-Sea which is way too far north of the main
beach action. My choice is Shereton Yankee Trader. It's right on the
beach. The hotel has a 24 hr deli, full laundromat. There's even an
elevated walkway from the pool to the beach. Shula's On The Beach is
right there. Beach Place is only a few blocks away. Bahama Hotel while
not a place I'd stay, offers a great brunch on weekends and is only two
blocks north. On the same block as the Yankee Trader is Casablanca
Cafe. It's a truly wonderful dining experience. The chef used to work
at some of the top restaurants in New York City before opening
Casablanca. I'd do lunch there and then I'd also do dinner as well.

Yankee Trader is big enough to accommodate a group of 20. There is free
shuttle service from/to the port and the airport as well as to the Las
Olas shopping and entertainment district. There are still lots of
smaller boutique hotels of 22 units or less some are economical. But
that's a very if-y way to go as it would mean finding one that's
completely open for your dates - and not all rooms would go for the same
rates. So you are best off with the large hotels like Shereton Yankee
Trader, Shereton Yankee Clipper

The Atlantic is 1 block from Beach Place, a Starwood Hotel may be out of
range but it doesn't hurt to see if they offer small group specials.
The Doubletree Oceanfront may be worth a look. Time of year dependent
they run internet specials. If you don't already have this link,
http://sunny.org - it lists everything you'd need to know about Ft.
Lauderdale including hotels by location. While in town, see Bonnet
House. It's really something.

I am guessing that this does not quality for moderately priced but we
love the Mariott Harbor Beach Resort. Best out of the 4 or so beach
front hotels we have stayed at in FFL.

Same question. I have a room on hold for a pre-cruise at the Holiday Inn
Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Any comments on this property? I did get a decent
Priority Club rate of $95 and all rooms are ocean view.

Go to priceline and bid a resort on Ft. Lauderdale Beach. The only one
is Marriott Harbor Beach. It is the best hotel in FLL, and right on the
beach.

Excellent deal. Folks have been grabbing this winner for great prices
over the past 8 months.
