Default Bangkok airport

hello, we are flying into Bangkok with arrival just after midnight and an
onward flight (domestic) by 7AM. We are wondering if we should just sleep
in the airport or go to a hotel for the night. (by the time we go through
customs, pick up luggage etc and get to a hotel, I figure it would be a 4-5
hour rest before heading back to the airport)

Is there sleepers in the domestic part of the airport? We are flying
executive class (airmiles) and are wondering if we would be allowed in the
executive lounge for the night, even when we are switching to domestic??

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Thank you for any help.

There is a hotel at the airport at Bangkok (I think it's Amari) - we stayed
there years ago because we arrived late and were leaving early next morning.
It's clean and close - and a bit pricey but it was somewhere to get a bit
of sleep.

"Amari" is a Thai Hotel Chain. It's the "Amari Airport Hotel" you're
talking about. In Bangkok alone, there are 6 Amari Hotels.

More info about the "Amari Airport Hotel" on:

A few minute ride whether to north or south and you could have booked in to
much cheaper hotels.

Clean? For the price (often pushing $100) it's pretty grim.

A $2 taxi ride away, the Comfort Inn is US$30/night and perfectly nice. No
breakfast buffet or extortionately-priced in-room internet, but for a place
to spend the night it does the job nicely.

Figure 30 minutes to clear customs and immigration. If you go downtown
to a hotel another 30 minutes to get there. Lose another hour in the
morning going back. So you're right, not much time for sleep.

There is a hotel at the airport (well, across the freeway). Not a
great place, but clean and safe.
