We drove your route last month up to Villefranche, but then turned west toward Cahors, one of our favorite cities in France. The route from Carcassone to Albi is *spectacularly* beautiful, so don't plan on hurrying. Albi (with the Lautrec Museum) is a very nice place to stop for lunch as well -- there's a wonderful tea room serving full meals across the square from the museum. -- Larry
